At Godspeed Engineering Services we efficiently repaired a large, heavily damaged electric motor rotor caused by a failed bearing, which led to shaft misalignment and damage to the shaft and labyrinth seal, resulting in excessive grease leakage and premature bearing failure. Despite the challenges posed by the rotor’s massive size and weight (over 2 meters long, 500 cm in diameter, and around 2 metric tons), and limited availability of replacement parts, the team devised a quick, feasible solution to minimize downtime and ensure continued operation for our client. After handling, setting, and machining the rotor, the client successfully reassembled and reinstalled the motor, which has been running smoothly for over a month, demonstrating our professionalism and commitment to client satisfaction through ongoing follow-up.
